Through guided experiences, group reflection, and gentle inquiry, the workshop empowers educators to bring mindfulness into daily experiences and model its principles for children and youth. The workshop honors the diverse challenges faced by educators, offering tools to respond with greater calm, clarity, and compassion—toward themselves and others.

Presenter’s Profile
Jill S. is a social and emotional learning consultant and coach based out of Bellingham, WA, USA. In her 28-year career, she has worked in American and Chinese public and independent schools with young people (ages 2-18) and their families as a teacher, school administrator, and a social and emotional learning specialist. She holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from DePaul University in Chicago, IL, USA. She seeks to help teachers, students, families, and schools focus on their strengths and learn additional tools to increase their wellness. Her vision is to share the wellness perspective with as many people, educators, and parents as possible so that cultures become healthier places that welcome and care for everyone.
Methodology
Didactic instruction, videos, lesson modeling, large and small group discussions, small group work, gallery walks, self-assessment, verbal and written reflection, and case studies.
