This is a course designed for all those educators who want to help children reach their educational potential. The course presents information about the latest brain-compatible learning methods, multiple intelligences and practical multi-sensory teaching methods.
The 2-day course is presented in an exciting “hands-on” mode so that attendees are fully empowered to take these highly successful strategies into classrooms to help all children reach their full academic potential.
During this course educators will learn many multi-sensory and active strategies to help children who are experiencing difficulties with literacy development.
Objectives
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- present the latest brain compatible teaching methods in a form that fully explains the theory as well as the reasons these methods enhance learning for all children
- enable educators to understand the importance of Gardner’s MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE THEORY and how it applies to all children: especially those at risk
- provide teachers of all children, with a practical range of teaching strategies that will improve learning outcomes for their students.
- provide teachers with programming strategies to empower them to incorporate these effective strategies and create “Thoughtful Classrooms”

- 8 intelligences and examples of practical teaching strategies drawn from each intelligence to maximise learning in the literacy area. Teachers are given specific examples so they can incorporate these into their teaching.

Trainer’s Profile
Victoria is an experienced educator and consultant and has helped children of all ages reach academic potential. She has specialized in remedial education, teaching dyslexic children, education programmes for gifted and talented children and language and literacy acquisition.
For the past 15 years, she has conducted many professional development courses for teachers and parents and is often a guest speaker at national and international education conferences.
She presents many papers on improving standards in education and her own research and methodology for ensuring full educational development for students.
