[LIVE] Relate & Regulate: Essential Components Within Conditions for Learning
When
Asia/Singapore
Event Tag
Evidence supports that students benefit from a holistic approach to education. Learning and teaching go beyond the academic focus, but they must also foster the social-emotional development of all students. Developing relationships is at the core of social-emotional learning. Students need to feel safe, seen, and know they matter. These relationships are vital when working to support the regulation of challenging behaviors. Regulation (also called self-management) refers to one’s ability to recognize and navigate emotions, feelings, cognition, and behaviors during challenging or stressful situations. Students develop self-discipline, self-motivation, and impulse control when they learn how to regulate.
Join this interactive virtual workshop to learn a holistic approach to supporting all students in gaining social-emotional learning skills, specifically focusing on relationship and regulation skills. These valuable coping tools are essential for success in school and beyond.
